Algerian Military accountable for creation of 'Polisario', former Algerian officer
Former Algerian officer, Anouar Malik held the Algerian Military accountable for the Algerian civil war, the Sand War with Morocco, and for the creation of the Polisario.
Speaking at a TV program, aired on Tuesday by the Qatar-based satellite Network "Al Jazeera", Malik made it clear that "the Algerian Military institution was the instigator of the Algerian civil war and of the Sand War, just as it is accountable for the creation of the Polisario."
Recalling that the Algerian army funds and provides the Polisario with arm supplies, the former officer noted that such activities turn the Maghreb into a subject of foreign envy.
The Sand War or Sands War occurred along the Algerian-Moroccan border in October 1963.
