Le Maroc est encore un pays sous exploré seulement 4 forages l'année derniere alors que dans les autres pays c'est 5 a 10 fois plus.
En tout cas, de sources sur dans ma region, il y a du petrole et meme du gaz, on dit que c'est vers la frontiere mauritanienne, sa vient de gens alliés au polisario.

Oil & Gas Round-Up: 20 February

Circle Oil (COP) has successfully drilled, logged and tested the KSR-8 well in the Sebou permit in the Rharb Basin in Morocco. The KSR-8 well tested gas in two zones and is being completed as a potential producer.

PetroLatina's (PELE) Colon-1 exploration well on the La Paloma block in the Middle Magdalena valley, Colombia has produced oil at significant rates on natural flow during preliminary tests.

Testing operations are continuing and upon completion of the current flow period the well will be put on an extended shut in period to allow accurate downhole reservoir pressure measurements to be completed.

Nighthawk Energy (HAWK) has discovered gas in a separate reservoir at its 80% owned Devon oilfield waterflood project, in Kansas. The gas is now producing at a choked off rate of 160 thousand cubic feet of gas per day and being sold into the market.

Ithaca Energy (IAE) said that the Carna exploration well in block 42/21b in the North Sea has reached a total depth of 10029 ft and coring operations are currently taking place. After coring, it is planned to deepen the well to approximately 11200 ft, which coincides with the depth of the structural closure of the Carna prospect.

Providence Resources (PVR) has declared the Aje Field, in OML113, offshore Nigeria commercial, and a development plan will be prepared. Providence holds a 5% net revenue interest in the Aje Field.

Fortune Oil's (FTO) Liulin coal bed methane block in China has been designated a State Science and Technology Significant Project. As a result, Fortune Oil will benefit both from the accelerated development using State funding at Liulin and from preferential policies such as immediate rights to sell gas production from the block.

Meridian Petroleum's (MRP) Pontiac well in Michigan may be delayed due to temporary weight restrictions on commercial traffic on the roads. The roads have been affected by a recent increase in temperatures causing a thaw and softening of the ground. Until the restrictions are lifted the rig cannot be delivered to the well site.

Northern Petroleum (NOP) has commenced a 2500km 2D seismic acquisition programme offshore Sicily.

Global Petroleum (GBP) has elected to participate in the follow up well to the Leighton oil and gas discovery, Tyler Ranch #1, located approximately 1km from the first Leighton well (Peeler #1). Global will have earned a 15% WI (11.25% NRI) in the Leighton leases when this second well has been drilled.

Global Energy Development (GED) recorded total production during 2008 of 438,007 barrels of oil (2007: 413,775 bbls). Average operating cash netback per barrel was $35.74 (2007: $30.44)

And finally, Gold Oil (GOO) announced in January that it had raised £645,000 in a placing of new shares at 4 pence per share, however the share price dropped to below the placing price before settlement on news of a disappointing well result. Of the £645,000 committed one placee has yet to stump up approximately £273,000 and Gold Oil says it will be pursuing such defaulting placee vigorously.
