L'ambassadeur de Suède à Rabat convoqué au ministère des Affaires étrangères

Rabat- Le ministre des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération, M. Taïb Fassi Fihri a convoqué, mercredi, l'ambassadeur de Suède à Rabat, M. Michael Odevald.


Au cours de cet entretien, M. Fassi Fihri a fait part à l'ambassadeur suédois d'"un manquement grave aux pratiques diplomatiques et d'une erreur professionnelle inadmissible commis par le Conseiller de l'ambassade de Suède à Rabat, Mme Anna Block-Mazoyer", indique un communiqué du ministère des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération.

Mme Block-Mazoyer, précise la même source, a transmis à des él
éments séparatistes, liés à l'Algérie et au "polisario", un document officiel qui a été remis par le ministère des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération à l'ambassade de Suède à Rabat, dans le cadre d'une démarche diplomatique.

"Ce document s'est retrouvé, par la suite, entre les mains des ennemis de l'intégrité territoriale du Royaume".

Le ministère des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération avait organisé le 9 octobre dernier, dans le cadre de ses briefings réguliers, une réunion consacrée aux derniers développements de la question du Sahara marocain, à l'attention des missions européennes accréditées à Rabat y compris celles de l'Union européenne, dont la Suède assure la présidence tournante.

M. Fassi Fihri a souligné que "la remise de ce document officiel par Mme Block-Mazoyer contrevient aux règles d'éthique et de professionnalisme diplomatiques qui exigent que le contenu des documents échangés soit destiné exclusivement aux autorités gouvernementales des pays représentés.

Ils ne peuvent nullement être utilisés contre les intérêts du pays d'accréditation", souligne le communiqué.

"Pour toutes ces considérations, le ministre des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération a informé l'ambassadeur de Suède à Rabat que les autorités marocaines exigent le départ immédiat de Mme Anna Block-Mazoyer", ajoute la même source.

The human rights activist Brahim Dahane, human rights defenders in Western Sahara, is this year's winner of the Swedish Government's Per Anger award.

Dahane was been nominated by the ICJ-S, the Swedish section of the International Commission of Jurists. The Swedish Minister of Culture Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth will present the award and the prize money of 150.000 SEK (15.000 euro) and a symbol in silver, which weighs as much as a human heart, at a ceremony in Stockholm on 16 November. Brahim Dahane is currently in Moroccan prison.

The motivation:
"For having fought in the conflict over Western Sahara between Morocco and Polisario with endurance, peaceful means and personal courage and with risk for his own life in the fight for human rights."

The Per Anger award is an international award. It was instituted in 2004 by the Swedish Government for promoting humanistic and democracy efforts.

The award is administrated by The Living History Forum which is a Swedish public authority established by the Swedish parliament with the aim of increasing understanding of contemporary events in the light of the Holocaust and other crimes against humanity.

The Living History Forum has been commissioned by the Swedish government to award the prize in the spirit of ambassador Per Anger. The prize was first awarded in 2004. In 2008 the price was given to Bishop Bakare of Zimbabwe.

Elle n'a pas à attendre l'écrit vue que l'ambassadeur est au courant est deverait lui m[eme agir, c'est contre la déontologie de la diplomatie.
Le maroc ne peut accepter quelqu'un dont la confiance est nulle car y aurait d'autres reunions mais si elle reste elle ne sera jamais invitée.

Sweden may recognise Western Sahara

The party congress of the Swedish Social Democratic Party has demanded that Sweden recognise Moroccan-occupied Western Sahara as the first country in Europe. The party is favourite to with the 2010 polls in Sweden.

At the recent party congress of the Social Democratic Party in Sweden, there were several motions pleading for strong party action to "support the struggle for self-determination of the people of Western Sahara."

The party on Friday ended up demanding a Swedish recognition of Western Sahara should the party win the coming 2010 elections.

The party executive had originally recommended its congress accept some of the demands for stronger actions, including an extended mandate for the UN peacekeepers MINURSO to monitor the human rights situation in the territory, but was hesitant to exclude Western Sahara from all EU-Morocco agreements, and said no to demands for recognition.

After a tough debate, however, the party congress accepted most demands in the motions, including that the party, if they are elected to government, will recognise the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and work for a recognition within the EU.

"Today's decision is historic," said Jytte Guteland after the vote was clear. Ms Guteland is chairperson of SSU, the Youth League of the Social Democratic Party. "It is a first step towards a Swedish recognition of Western Sahara, which for long has been an issue between us and the party," she added.

"This is something we have worked for within all sections of the party," commented Johan Buser, International Leader of SSU. "Now we have to win the elections. In that case, Sweden will be the first member state of the EU to recognise Western Sahara."

Sahrawi Deputy Minister of European Affairs Mohamed Sidati, who was invited to speak at the Swedish party congress, also strongly welcomed the decision. "This initiative, in addition to being a bold action in favour of the struggling Sahrawi people, represents an important opportunity for the Sahwari cause in Sweden and Europe."

Sorry buddy but you got it wrong, only 10 countries (20 in the 80's). So it is a minority.

C'est plus fort quand on appelle l'ambassadeur , le 1er responsable suedois au maroc, lui même chez les affaires étrangère et lui mentionner pas notre souhait mais exige le depart de cette personne. Quelle administration dont tu parles .

C'est vrai, mais pas verbalement, on doit lui signifier qu'elle est pesrona non grata sur le sol Marocain, comme il se peut qu'ils vont appliquer la réciprocité.
