Powerway Renewable Energy Co. Ltd de la Chine a remporté une centrale électrique afin de projet photovoltaïque majeur en Algérie.
La station est composée de trois sous-projets et 16 usines, avec une capacité installée totale de 233 MW. Powerway fournit les structures de montage et des services de conception correspondant à 120 MW du total.
Une fois terminé, les plantes devraient avoir une production annuelle de 372 800 000 kilowattheures et de réduire les émissions de dioxyde de carbone de près de 4,66 millions de tonnes par an.
Selon Powerway, le projet sera la plus grande centrale photovoltaïque dans toute l'Afrique.
Shariket el Kahraba wa el Taket el Moutadiadida (SKTM), une filiale de la société de gaz naturel et de distribution d'électricité nationale algérienne Sonelgaz, développe le projet monté au sol, qui a commencé la construction en Avril et devrait être achevé d'ici la fin de l'année.

When completed, the plants are expected to have an annual output of 372.8 million kilowatt hours and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 4.66 million tons a year.
According to Powerway, the project will be the largest PV power station in all of Africa.
Shariket el Kahraba wa el Taket el Moutadiadida (SKTM), a subsidiary of Algerian national natural gas and electricity distribution company Sonelgaz, is developing the ground-mounted project, which began construction in April and is due to be completed by year's end.
While Algeria's location in North Africa, with rich sunshine resources, makes it ideal for PV development. However, the Sahara Desert covers 85% of the country, with the climate and terrain being relatively complex, Powerway said.
"This means that, from design to construction, the photovoltaic power station is facing great challenges," the company added, saying that its advanced design concepts for the solar mounting system provided "an economic and reliable structure resilient to harsh conditions (wind and sand)."
Powerway CEO Benson Wu said, "It is our honor to participate in the largest ground power station project in Africa and provide solar mounting structures and ground screws. This fully proves the business development ability of Powerway in the global PV market."
