Première coupe de hockey... africaine!

La Fédération Royale Marocaine de Hockey sur Glace (FRMHG) annonce la création d'un tournoi de hockey qui se déroulera à Rabat, au Maroc, en juillet.
Du 24 au 31 juillet, des équipes de l'Égypte, de la Tunisie, de l'Algérie et du Maroc se disputeront la première coupe Africaine de Hockey sur Glace. L' événement historique sera suivi d'un match des étoiles à Casablanca, au Maroc.
Selon le communiqué de presse de la Fédération, ce tournoi «sera le premier d'une longue série».

DES IDÉES DE GRANDEUR

La FRMHG a remplacé, en février 2016, l'association marocaine de hockey sur glace. Selon un texte du MarocHebdo, la première équipe de hockey de la région a vu le jour en 2005, à Rabat.

Le sport connaît une certaine croissance dans ce pays. Au départ, une seule équipe composée de vingt joueurs existait. Aujourd'hui, sept clubs sont en action et quatre patinoires ont été construites.

Le président de la FRMHG affirme qu'il souhaite développer davantage ce sport au Maroc dans les prochaines années.

The Royal Moroccan Ice Hockey Federation is proud to announce that it will be organizing the first African ice Hockey Cup.

The tournament will be held in Rabat (Mega mall), Followed by an all star showdown in Casablanca (Morocco Mall) from the 24th until 31st July 2016.
The participating clubs will come from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt:

• Morocco: The Casablanca Bears and the Rabat Capitals represented by Mr Khalid Mrini, President of the Royal Moroccan Ice Hockey Federation

• Algeria: The Algiers Corsairs Represented By Mr Karim Kerbouche, President of the Algerian ice and Inline Hockey Association

• Tunisia : The Tunisian Eagles represented by Mr Ihab Ayeb, President of the Tunisian Ice Hockey Association

• Egypt : Anubis and Pharaohs Represented by Eslam Suleyman, President of Cairo’s Anubis Hockey Club

We hope that this cup will be the first of many to come. We also hope that this historic event will attract more fans and participant and interest to our beautiful sport. Royal Moroccan Ice Hockey Federation
