Salam DZers
I would like to talk about the video of the massacre of Srebrenica shown on TV news channels 2 days ago.
It showed young people being killed one after another. It was hard, and horrible. How painful it was to see the victims waiting for their death with no move. They didn't try to fight or run away. They didn't even turn back to face their murderers. Nothing…. As if they were waiting for their relief. Thinking :Go ahead, do it, let's finish.
I don't know those people but the scene hurt me so much that it is still hard for me to talk about it.
Don't worry, I won't ask you about your feelings toward this massacre. As Algerians, I guess we all know how merciless a man can be.
The question is do you think that TV channels should show such horrible images?
Is it our right to see the truth even in a harsh way?
Or is it our duty to witness the pain of those we failed to help or protect?
