North Morocco a walhalla for investors
Morocco seems is becoming rapidly backyard of Europe.
Car manufacturers, banks and callcenters brush there. With the opening of car manufacturer Renault-Nissan a large assembly plant in the north of Morocco the development of the region will take a high flight around the port city Tanger. In 2010, the factory must be ready and produce 200,000 cars a year; of a cost of 600 millions euro. " Tanger and area is becoming an important place for the European car industry" , according to commercial director Omar Chaïb of Tanger Freezone, a free trade area of 345 hectaren large. Sixty hectares have been reserved for companies where a new Renault-Nissan wants to establish themselves .
The German and Japanese car manufacturers, Volkswagen and Zaki have already opend a factory here , just like plane manufacturer Airbus. Daher DL Aerotechnology in Tanger are going to built air conditioning in planes. The Moroccan government does everything foreign to atractte investors. Beside Tanger Freezone there are going to zome three free trade areas in the region. export companies which establish themselves here, have been mainly profit from no tax.
