Engaged to organize the football African Cup of Nations to be held in 2015, Morocco has the support of its neighbor Algeria, with which relations were somewhat strained in recent times.

But with the support shown by Algeria, confirmed by the Moroccan Minister of Sport, the hatchet appears to be buried forever. "I want to thank the President of the Algerian football federation that I met in Abu Dhabi. He indeed confirmed his support for the candidacy of Morocco at the African Cup of Nations 2015. Algeria will therefore support the Moroccan candidacy, "said Moroccan minister of sports, Moncef Belkhayat in an interview with the Moroccan daily" Al Mountakhab.
We are however expecting the confirmation of the Algerian football federation which has not yet made any revelation on the subject. The campaign of seduction of CAF and African federations will start next January 2011. "The Moroccan campaign will start next January on the occasion of the inauguration of the stadium in Marrakech. A world-class premise that will host an international tournament (PSG and Olympique Lyonnais)," confirmed the Moroccan Minister of Sports.
Note that for the ACN 2015, Morocco is competing with South Africa to host the ACN 2015 and 2017. A repetition of the battle engaged between Morocco and South Africa to host the 2010 World Cup.
