McDonald's sued over nude photos
A man is suing McDonald's claiming that nude photos of his wife ended up online after he left his mobile phone, containing the pictures, at one of the chain's restaurants.
The suit was filed Friday against the chain, the franchise owner, and the store manager, and seeks a jury trial and $3 million (£2 million) in damages for suffering, embarrassment and the cost of having to move to a new home.
The suit says that Phillip Sherman left the phone in the Fayetteville, Arkansas store in July and that employees promised to secure it until he returned.
Manager Aaron Brummley declined to comment and the company has declined to issue any statement on the affair so far.
The Shermans claim they have received offensive messages, after the pictures, sent to Mr Sherman by his wife, were posted on July 5th.
The photos, which were allegedly posted along with the Sherman's name, address and phone number, have since been removed from the web site where they appeared.
