To our Martyrs
I was born in the independent Algeria. I don't know what means to be raised in a colonized country.
Independence: I used to take it for granted. Now that I grown up and especially after I read about Algeria under colonialism and November revolution, I know I am lucky to be born after 1962. I am lucky I had the chance to carry on my studies, go to the university, have a career and make plans for the future as only free human can do.
That's why I value so much the sacrifices of our martyrs who didn't have the chance to live a normal life : make studies, have a good job, raise a family and see their grand children. They died so young and they didn’t know how it is to be free at last.

May they rest in peace in Allah's rahma for ever.

May they forgive us what we did of their precious legacy.
