The reason why Hassan 2 negelected Tanger was because when he visited the city after independence the people turned their back to him and other threw tomatoes to him. And some let their dogs out..

That made Hassan 2 very angry and since then Tanger was negelected by H2 and the goverment..
the city you're refering to is not Tangier .... it's Meknés. and it was in fact neglected for 30 years even tough it's one of the greatest imperial cities in morocco

get back to youo history Books Buddy

Ok let me tell you some good things H2 did:

      - he built a dam every year in Morocco
      - he was able to stabilize and insure the "SAFETY" of the country
      - he put Morocco on the map in the world arena on several occasions
      - he was able to change and put the country towards democratization in the late 90's by allowing the opposition parties to form a government
      - he unified the country with the big help of Algeria by unifying moroccans around the sahara issue (thank you so much guys)
      - and last but not least, he was able to guarantee the Moroccan territorial integrity.
Bullshit, the dams in Morocco were build by drugsdealers who were caught by the goverment.

Hassan 2 invested nothing in Morocco, all his money went abraod on Suisse and Paris banks . He had companies in French, US etc. He pumped billions in Marbella. Go to Marbella and people will tell you this.

Ayoub, you forget that Morocco allmost lost the war in de Sahara. If Saudi Arabia and UAE didn't help Morocco on the last moment Polisario would now controle the Sahara but also Sidi Ifni and other regions..

( not all of us of course) , but he also did good things, some of them were listed by Ayoub , if you're not ready to accept that fact , then i'm not gonna argue with you, because in your obessesive need for opposition , you will soon be thinking that 1+1 is 3 just Because hassan II said it's 2 ......

except if you meant by it : WON ........in which case , it's a good achievement for HII, but you prefer to see the glass as half empty , that's your right buddy.

              http://www.usfp.ma/article.php?t=4&id=56

Euh, yes, that was the reason... Tangiers before independence was an international city, that is a FACT, sorry buddy. That is when it had the aura and the reach it had at the time, from the 20's to the 60's... I never heard about the tomatoes story, I guess this is something you read only in the FLN manuals, keep up the good job

That made Hassan 2 very angry and since then Tanger was negelected by H2 and the goverment..
Now what happened when H2 regarding the north and the RIF in particular is a different story and has nothing to do with what you're talking about as far as Tangiers greatness during a certain era...

Cell, you don't know much. Hassen 2 had shares in Singer and in other French companies, a lot of land, property in Spain, US, French etc.
Yeah why don't you lecture us lol, it's SIGER my friend, and everybody in Morocco knows about it, it's a royal holding SIGER is the anagram of Regis (meaning king) and not SINGER, SINGER is a company that makes sawing machines for ladies lol.

                Whatever...
